Travis is a patent attorney specializing in patent prosecution. He has been practicing law since 2008 and has been practicing patent law since 2013. Prior to joining Paradice & Li LLP, Travis was as a patent prosecutor at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP in San Diego for over five years, where he provided patent prosecution legal services for Qualcomm. Travis has technical expertise in a variety of electrical and computer engineering fields, such as wireless communications and networking (IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi, IoT, LTE, etc.), data encryption, stereo depth estimation, smartphone and camera services, satellite communications, digital signal processing, systems on a chip (SoC), and semiconductors.
Travis graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Diego and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University. Travis also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude, served as a Senior Associate Editor for Law Review, and received Certificates of Merit for both Family Law and Scholarly Writing. Travis is admitted to practice law in the state of California and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
